North Stonington equestrian wins tri-state awards

Mackenzie Turrisi of North Stonington won six awards from the Tri-State Horseman Association for her equestrian achievements at the association’s open shows this summer. The Wheeler High School junior has a horse named A Dark Obsession and is a member of the Checkerboard Show Team of North Stonington and the United States Equestrian Athlete Lettering Program for her dedication to the sport.
