Fourth-grader is fire prevention poster finalist

Daniel Girard, a fourth-grader at Quaker Hill Elementary School in Waterford was a county finalist in the state’s Fire Prevention Poster Recognition program. He was recognized at a luncheon in Hartford in March. All of Waterford’s fourth and fifth grade students participated in the contest. Daniel’s teacher at Quaker Hill School is Jessica Loupos.
