UCFS adding dental care services in Griswold

Norwich — United Community & Family Services announced Friday that it has received $338,803 in federal funds to expand its oral health care services.

The funding will be used to add dental care services to UCFS’ Griswold Health Center, 70 Main St., UCFS said in a news release.

The funds will pay for equipment and pay staff for the new service in Griswold, said Pamela Kinder, vice president of marketing and facilities at UCFS, which has its main clinic in Norwich.

The current 4,000-square-foot facility in Griswold is slated to be replaced with a 16,000-square-foot building at 226 Main St. that will include four dental exam rooms.

Kinder said groundbreaking for the new building will take place this coming winter.
