Three students from Leonard J. Tyl Middle School in Montville are headed to Carnegie Hall to sing in the 2016 Middle School Honors Performance Series.

Seventh grade students Brianna Pedersen and Elijah Rix and eighth grade student Emily Day auditioned for the series in the fall and were selected to perform with students from 45 states and Canada in the Honors Junior Choir. The five-day trip to New York City will include working with composer and conductor Sally Albrecht and other junior finalists, time in the city and a performance on June 25 in Carnegie Hall.

The Saturday performance is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased through Carnegie Hall.
