Date set for Lighthouse Inn auction

New London — The Lighthouse Inn, its three buildings and 4.2 acres, will go to a public auction on Oct. 5, when the storied local landmark will go to the highest bidder.
JJ Manning & Co. Auctioneers of Yarmouth Port, Mass., has listed the details of the auction on its website, JJManning.com.
The auction will take place at 2 p.m. at City Hall.
A property tour is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 28.
