Mystic — Denison Pequotsepos/Coogan Farm Nature & Heritage Center will host a talk titled, “Is Exposure to Chemicals in Our World Making Us Sick?” by Dr. Chris Lachowski, an integrative health physician and certified clinical nutritionist from East Lyme.

The talk will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the farm, 162 Greenmanville Ave.

Admission is $10.20 for members, $12 for nonmembers.

Lachowski will address topics including:

• How is your body being affected by this exposure?

• The prevalent chemicals and toxins we now are exposed to every day;

• The National Parks Service toxicity research studies;

• How toxins affect us and cause fatigue and other health problems;

• Ways to protect your body from the harmful effects of toxins;

• How to apply new environmental medicine assessments and therapies;

• Ways to help create sustainable living and a healthy toxin-free planet.
