Norwich — The 26th annual Blue Mass honoring active and retired law enforcement officers will be held at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich, celebrated by the Most Rev. Michael R. Cote, bishop of Norwich.

All law enforcement officers, federal, state and municipal, active and retired, of all faiths, their families and all parishioners are invited to attend.

“We honor brave heroes such as Trooper Russell A. Bagshaw, the posthumous honorary chair of this year’s Blue Mass,” a news release from the diocese stated. “Trooper Bagshaw, of Troop K Connecticut State Police, gave his life at the age of 28 in the line of duty now almost 25 years ago. We honor his memory, and those who continue to risk all to serve others.”
