Crew on the schooner Columbia hold safety drills on board while docked at City Pier in New London Tuesday, September 20, 2016 prior to getting under way. The schooner, a replica of a famous fishing/racing schooner that was lost with all hands off Sable Island in 1927, has been in New London since the Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival and is bound for its home port of Panama City, Florida.
