Talk on therapies for children planned at L+M
New London — The Connecticut Family Support Network's Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Parents Group will host a presentation about occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech and language therapy at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at L+M.
The talk is intended for parents of children with disabilities who want to know more about these therapies. It will include a description of each of the therapies, when and why a child might need them, insurance coverage and other funding sources, how to coordinate with school services and how to incorporate therapies into the home. A question-and-answer session will follow.
