The gift of warmth in New London

Art student Catyela Santiago of the C.B. Jennings Elementary School dual language enrichment program ties a scarf on a branch while she and her fellow students placed hats and scarves on trees at Williams Park in New London Friday, Jan. 13, 2017. The kids made 17 hats and most of the 27 scarves that they placed in the park for people to take if they are cold. The group wanted to do a project that would be helpful to the community so they decided on their "Jennings Warmth Project" that would bring warmth to the people that are cold and make themselves feel warm inside for helping people.
