Foxwoods reports 6-percent decline in December slots revenue
Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported that its slot-machine revenue last month was down 6.4 percent compared to December 2015.
The casino “won,” or kept, $35.3 million in wagers after paying out prizes. Of that amount, it paid $9.4 million to the state in accordance with revenue-sharing agreements.
Foxwoods reported its “handle” for December, the total amount of slots wagers, was $465.7 million, a decline of less than 1 percent.
Other information contained in Foxwoods’ monthly slots report could not be obtained Monday.
Mohegan Sun indicated it plans to release its December slots report Tuesday.
Both casinos had reported year-over-year declines in their November slots revenues, with Foxwoods down nearly 7 percent and Mohegan Sun down nearly 1 percent.
