Norwich Police Color Guard to present colors at Sunday's Patriots game
Norwich — The Norwich Police Color Guard will have better than box seats at the start of Sunday’s New England Patriots AFC Championship game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Police Chief Patrick Daley announced Friday that the Norwich Police Color Guard will participate in a combined New England states honor guard to present the colors for the game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Sunday.
The color guard has a long tradition of presenting colors at various civic events and functions within the city of Norwich, police Capt. Christopher Ferace said in the news release announcing the new honor. The unit received the 2016 Community Service Award from the Norwich NAACP chapter at the annual Freedom Fund Gala in October.
