Charter Oak named best credit union in annual survey
Waterford — Charter Oak Federal Credit Union was named “Best Credit Union in Connecticut” in The Commercial Record magazine’s ninth annual reader survey of the banking and real estate professions.
Survey results were published in The Commercial Record's 2016 year-end issue. The magazine is published monthly by the Boston-based Warren Group.
“Our employees work hard each day to provide the best in services and products, and it’s very encouraging to see that Connecticut’s banking profession strongly agrees,” Brian Orenstein, Charter Oak’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
Charter Oak, which has 15 branches in New London and Windham counties, also won top credit union honors in three other contests last year, in The Day, Best of Norwich Magazine and Best of Northeastern Connecticut contests.
