New London man arrested on child porn charges

New London — Police arrested a man Friday morning they said was found in possession of child pornography.

New London police said they began investigating Dec. 17 after a local pharmacy called police to report a man allegedly printing photographs of child pornography on the pharmacy photo machine.

David Gunn, 41, of 70 Connecticut Ave., Apt. 3, was arrested that day on unrelated charges but further investigation of his electronic devices showed numerous images of child pornography, police said in a news release Friday.

Gunn was arrested by New London police working with the State of Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and charged with second-degree possession of child pornography.

A $50,000 cash bond was set by the court.
