Hartford Avenue paving in Old Lyme scheduled for Monday, Tuesday

Old Lyme — Hartford Avenue, from Bocce Lane to Pond Road, will be closed to traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday to allow for milling and paving, according to a town notice.

A parking ban will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. Monday through 7 p.m. Tuesday. Local residents can park on Martino Avenue or north of Bocce Lane during that time, the notice stated.

In approximately two to three weeks, permanent epoxy street markings will be applied between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., according to the notice.

"While this is not generally a noisy process, the equipment and process, including lighting, may be distracting," the notice states.

Once the date is confirmed, the information will be posted on the town website, www.oldlyme-ct.gov. Residents also can visit the town website to subscribe to 'News and Announcements' to receive emails about town announcements.

Residents with questions can call the selectmen’s office at (860) 434 1605, ext. 212.
