    Final week of Spring Outdoors packed with local activities

    June 17 to June 21 will be the final week of The Last Green Valley's Spring Outdoors program.

    On Saturday, June 17, the following events will be held:

    "Pitch Pine Preserve Hike" will be hosted in Groton by the Groton Open Space Association. The hike is designed for experienced hikers through a pitch pine ridge forest. To pre-register, call (860) 536-9811.

    "Guys with Guns Manly Day" will be held at the Leffingwell House Museum in Norwich from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is hosted by the Guns of Norwich & Lebanon Towne Militia Co. 1775. There is an entry fee of $5.

    "Got Milk?" will be held at Blue Slope Farm in Franklin from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants are invited to explore vintage farming equipment, go on a horse ride and meet the farm animals. It is open for all ages; there is an entry fee of $7 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 4-10.
