Gardner Lake State Park reopened after water quality concerns

Salem — Gardner Lake State Park has been reopened for swimming a week after it was closed due to water quality concerns, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The park was slated to be reopened after water testing Thursday but remained closed and had to be retested Friday due to continued concerns.

The park also is under a 90-day alcohol ban effective Aug. 4.
