Gregory and Ellen Young of Gales Ferry are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Andrea to Steven Lowell of Oneida, N.Y., son of Antoinette and the late John Lowell.

A graduate of Ledyard High School, Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Marist College. She’s the program supervisor of Medicaid service coordination at Liberty Resources in Syracuse, N.Y.

A graduate of Oneida High School, Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in law enforcement management from SUNY Canton. He’s a police sergeant at the City of Oneida Police Department.

Residing in Oneida, N.Y., the couple is planning a September 2017 Connecticut wedding.
