Noank fire quickly extinguished

Noank Fire Chief David Steel says occupants of the Watrous Brothers Machine Shop at 137 Fishtown Road extinguished a small fire this afternoon before firefighters arrived.
The fire, which originated inside a wall, was reported at about 4 p.m. and burned a small hole through the interior and exterior walls.
Noank Fire Marshal James Chaffee said the cause appears to be electrical in nature but remains under investigation.
