The state's judicial branch is warning residents not to open an email telling them they are required to show up for a state court hearing. The fraudulent emails carry a virus that is launched when an attachment to the email is opened.
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch website at www.jud.ct.gov is instructing recipients of such an email to contact its help desk at (860) 282-6555.
