Man killed in Plainfield motorcycle accident

Plainfield — A 24-year-old Plainfield man was pronounced dead Friday at the scene of a motorcycle accident, police said.

The body of John R. Duerr of 11 Cornell Road was discovered shortly before 1 p.m. Friday about 30 feet off the eastbound side of the roadway, in the area of 274 Canterbury Road.

Police said the motorcycle accident was believed to have occurred Thursday evening or early Friday morning. Duerr was operating a 2013 Suzuki GSX-R 600L motorcycle at the time of the accident.

Anyone with information pertaining to the accident is asked to contact the Plainfield Police Department at (860) 564-0804. The investigation remains ongoing.
