UPDATED: Discovery of cow parts on campus of Woodstock Academy leads to arrest

Woodstock — State police arrested an 18-year-old Brooklyn man on Wednesday for allegedly spreading pieces of a dead cow throughout the campus of Woodstock Academy.

State police were alerted to the discovery of the dead animal parts by security at the high school.

Avery B. Rollins, 18, of 360 Canterbury Road was charged with breach of peace. Police said Rollins was also found to be in possession of a knife on school grounds.

Free on bail, Rollins is due to appear June 30 in Danielson Superior Court.

During investigation into the discovery of the cow parts, police arrested 18-year-old Evert McKee of Woodstock on charges of weapons in a motor vehicle and breach of peace.

State police said security personnel found a large machete in a vehicle on school grounds. Police said McKee's charges are unrelated to the cow parts investigation.

The Woodstock Academy graduation ceremony is scheduled for Sunday.
