Leroy Thomas, of New London, is charged in an April 2015 home invasion in Norwich.

Norwich — Police on Wednesday arrested a 25-year-old New London man on charges related to his alleged role in an April 24 armed home invasion on Reynolds Street.

Leroy Thomas of 66 Boulder St. in New London was charged by warrant with home invasion, first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, first-degree unlawful restraint, fifth-degree larceny and three counts of first-degree reckless endangerment.

Sgt. Peter B. Camp, in a written statement, said the arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation by community police Officers Kenneth Wright and Dennis Bialowas, along with detectives.

Thomas was served an arrest warrant during a scheduled court appearance Wednesday in New London’s Superior Court reserved for serious felonies. Thomas has a pending case in which he faces 10 felony charges, including drug sales and possession charges.

Thomas was free on a $20,000 bond in his pending case but was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bond in the home invasion case. He is slated to appear Thursday in Norwich Superior Court.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are anticipated. Police declined to release any details of the April 24 home invasion.
