Police identify motorcyclist killed in East Lyme crash

East Lyme — Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed Sunday night when he crashed his vehicle on Interstate 95 south as 48-year-old Carl Farquharson III of East Haven.

Police said Francheska Estrada was driving on Interstate 95 south in the right lane when she attempted to take the Exit 72 off-ramp. Police said Farquharson was traveling south in the right breakdown lane behind Estrada when he rear ended her vehicle.

Farquharson sustained fatal injuries. Estrada was not injured.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call state police at Troop E in Montville at (860) 848-6500.
