Burglary reported in New London
New London — At approximately 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, two residents reported a second-degree burglarly in progress at their house in the area of Ocean Avenue and Fowler Court.
A man and a woman were woken up by a noise coming from the first floor of their home. A short time later they heard a loud crash outside their bedroom door that suggested that someone was trying to break in, police say. The male and female victim went into a bathroom to call 911. Police responded and searched the house but found that the suspects had left already. A police K-9 was called to the scene to track the suspects, but the dog was unsuccessful.
Police do not have a description of the suspects and are reminding residents to lock their doors and first-floor windows. Anyone with information on the incident should contact New London Police at (860) 447-5269.
