Montville — State police charged a man Thursday with numerous sexual assault charges.  

James Bixby, 38, of no certain address was charged with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Police said they received a complaint on May 21 about an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that occurred in Montville and Taftville.

As a result of their investigation, Bixby was arrested.

He was being held on a $200,000 bond pending his arraignment Friday in Norwich Superior Court.
