East Lyme — Police located the SUV driven by missing Stonington woman Christine McGugan in the parking lot of the Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center near the Rocky Neck Connector about 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Two employees of the facility called police with a report of an abandoned vehicle but said there was no sign of McGugan inside. The green Chevy Tahoe bears the license plate CT 719SBZ, the same as the one though to have been driven by McGugan when she went missing last Thursday.

Stonington Police Detective Cody Floyd and a state trooper arrived on scene just before 9 p.m. Police on scene said a search dog was en route at that time. The SUV is located in the far corner of the parking lot. The facility is located across Route 156 from the entrance to Rocky Neck State Park.

McGugan, a married mother of three, was last seen Thursday at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after attending a counseling session. Since then, her image and information about her disappearance also has been shared on numerous television and newspaper media sites, the Town of Stonington Connecticut Community Forum, local and out-of-state police departments and numerous realty groups, including the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors. Posters have started appearing around town.

McGugan is a Realtor with Randall Realtors, and her husband’s family owns Gwenmor Marina in Mystic.

Police said McGugan is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She last was seen wearing a gray sweater and black tights.

Stonington police detectives and patrol officers have been working around the clock to locate McGugan since she went missing and have been tracking down all the credible leads they have received.

Anyone who has information on McGugan’s whereabouts is asked to call Stonington police at (860) 599-4411.
