I-395 crash in Norwich injures Sterling man

Norwich — A Sterling man was seriously injured Saturday night when police say the pickup truck he was driving veered off the southbound side of Interstate 395, hit the median and rolled over in the northbound side of the highway.

Glen Andrews, 50, was ejected from the 2001 Chevrolet S-10 after he veered left for an unknown reason and crashed near Exit 82 about 10 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Andrews was taken by ambulance to Backus Hospital, then flown to Hartford Hospital, according to police. The truck was towed and sustained major damage, they said.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call the state police Troop E barracks at (860) 848-6500.
