State police investigate armed robbery in Hebron
Hebron — State police are investigating the early Friday morning armed robbery of the Xtra Mart at 70 Main St.
Police said they responded to the convenience store about 1:20 a.m. The clerk told police that a man entered the store, pointed a gun and demanded cash from the register.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
After a review of the surveillance video, state police detectives determined that there was a second man standing in the threshold of the front door acting as a lookout.
The robber is described as an Hispanic male about 5 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black gloves and black sneakers. He had a dark-colored scarf wrapped around his face.
Police said the lookout appeared to be smaller in stature. He was wearing a black jacket with green sleeves, black pants and black sneakers with white soles. The jacket had an emblem on the left side of the chest area, possibly of the Boston Celtics team logo.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call state police at (860) 625-5787 or text "tip711" with the information to 236748. All calls will be kept confidential.
