Man thrown from vehicle in Norwich crash
Norwich — A man suffered injuries Friday after he was ejected from a vehicle that crashed in the area of Hansen and Scotland roads.
Norwich police and firefighters from the Yantic Fire Department responded to the accident at 7:05 p.m. and found the male passenger lying in the roadway. The man was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital and then flown to Hartford Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The female operator of the motor vehicle complained of a minor injury and also was taken to Backus for treatment.
Police said their accident reconstruction unit was called to the scene as part of the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash. Police have not yet identified the people involved in the single-vehicle crash.
