State police charge 46 with drunken driving during holiday campaign

State police charged 46 people with drunken driving during their annual Thanksgiving enforcement operation that started Wednesday and ended Sunday morning.
Police also issued 1,204 speeding tickets, 432 seat belt violations and 3,160 other hazardous moving violations, which included unsafe lane changes, cellphone use violations and failure to signal.
They investigated 513 accidents, 59 of them with injuries and one fatality.
