Local law enforcement conduct active shooter training at Foxwoods
Mashantucket — Numerous law enforcement agencies on Thursday participated in an active shooter exercise hosted by the Law Enforcement Council at the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods.
The exercise was conducted to test the efficiency and readiness of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police Department and the mutual aid response of area police, fire and EMS departments, according to Mashantucket Police Chief William Dittman.
Mutual aid police departments participating included Ledyard, Mohegan Tribal, Montville, Waterford, New London and Stonington.
Law Enforcement Council active shooter instructors came from the Norwich, Willimantic, Groton Town, Groton City, East Lyme and Plainfield police departments.
