Preston — Officials have reopened state Route 165 in both directions after a blown transformer closed it around 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The incident, which occurred between Old Shetucket Turnpike and state Route 164, brought wires down.
According to Eversource's outage map, more than 700 Preston customers were without power around 10 a.m.
By 2 p.m., that number was 30.
