Montville police investigating three Wednesday burglaries
Montville — Police said they're investigating after three burglaries, which don't appear to be related, occurred throughout the day Wednesday.
According to police, two of the burglaries were residential while one was commercial.
In the first, which occurred on Raymond Hill Road between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., someone took an unspecified amount of cash from a dresser drawer, but no signs of forced entry could be found.
Around 4 p.m., police learned that someone had used an extension ladder to enter a Derry Hill Road home through its kitchen window and steal two large containers of loose change and a Seiko wristwatch.
Then, at 7:40 p.m., police were called to Tomorrow's Trees on state Route 85, where someone had taken about $4,400 worth of property, including chainsaws, from the garage. Police didn't find any sign of forced entry in that case, either.
Police said they don't yet have suspects in any of the burglaries.
