Video game argument leads to stabbing in Groton
Groton — A 14-year-old stabbed another teen in the head with a kitchen knife Wednesday during an argument over a video game the two were playing, police said.
Police responded to reports of the stabbing at 11 p.m. at an unidentified apartment in the south end of the City of Groton, according to a police report.
The 14-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The suspect, who was not identified because of his age, was arrested following an investigation by the department’s detective unit.
The 14-year-old male is charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
He was transferred via a judge’s order to the Hartford Juvenile Detention Center after his parents were notified.
Details on the extent of the victim's injury was not immediately available.
