East Lyme police respond to 3 opioid-related overdoses in 1 week
East Lyme — On the heels of three opioid-related overdoses within the past week, police on Monday wrote a Facebook post with helpful phone numbers for those who are or know someone who is suffering from drug addiction.
According to police, two of the overdoses involved men who were found in vehicles along West Main Street.
Police said emergency crews administered Narcan to each of them.
The other involved a female who overdosed while in a Niantic residence.
Police, who did not provide specific ages, said all three survived.
In their Facebook post, police provided the number for the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction services, which is (860) 418-7000, and reminded residents to report drug activity to them at (860) 739-5900.
