Stonington — A car drove into the Henny Penny Shell Station on Friday afternoon after the driver's foot slipped off the brake pedal, causing moderate structural damage to the building.
Police said the driver was newly-licensed and accidently stepped on the gas pedal, causing his 2007 Range Rover to collide into the Henny Penny.
Three occupants of the vehicle were evaluated at the scene by Westerly Ambulance and were uninjured, police said. The Stonington Fire Department also responded.
