STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Stamford man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Route 1.
Police say it happened near an intersection at around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Thirty-year-old Jose Chacon-Valverde was traveling west when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle.
Chacon-Valverde was ejected off the motorcycle and onto the road. He was taken to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. Police said Thursday that he has died.
Police say speed, alcohol and drugs don't appear to be factors in the crash.
