Groton — Police have arrested a woman after a monthlong investigation into the sexual assault of a 14-year-old.
Dawn Kerr, 34, of 76 Osprey Drive, Groton, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police said Kerr was known to the victim and the assault allegedly took place at her residence over the summer.
She was taken into custody at her home and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond, police said in a news release Friday.
