Norwich — Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a 55-year-old man who they said went missing Wednesday, but that man has informed The Day he is safe.

Police described William Coleman as a white man with gray hair and green eyes who is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 155 pounds.

Coleman said he is unsure who might have called him in as missing, but he's informed police he is safe and they are in the process of verifying it.

Police did not provide a photo of Coleman.
