Police: Man involved in wrong-way crash on Route 32 was intoxicated
New London — The man who allegedly was driving the wrong way when his car smashed into another one on state Route 32 in October, sending one man to the hospital by Life Star helicopter, is due in New London Superior Court Friday.
Marlon Williams, 36, of 85 Crouch St., Apt. 18, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving the wrong way, second-degree assault with a vehicle and reckless driving. He was arrested Jan. 5. and released after posting a $25,000 bond.
Nickolas Racicot, the 31-year-old driver who spent several days in Hartford Hospital after the head-on Halloween night crash near Connecticut College, is on the mend.
