Duo charged with possession of multiple illegal drugs in Groton

Groton — Town police, with assistance from the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, arrested two people they said were in possession of a host of illegal drugs Tuesday.
According to police, Eric A. Harman, 41, of 72 Lakeview Drive, Preston, and Amy L. Wiese, 38, of Plainfield were in a suspicious vehicle that officers approached Tuesday while monitoring a “high crime area” in town.
Police said the resulting investigation netted 15 Suboxone strips, 7.19 grams of heroin, 5.31 grams of cocaine, 18.53 grams of crack cocaine and 1.19 grams of marijuana. Police also seized $4,212 cash and a 2008 Dodge Charger.
Police charged Harman with four counts of possession of narcotics, four counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and interfering with an officer.
Wiese was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
