Three injured, one seriously, in Pawcatuck crash on Saturday
Stonington -- Three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car crash on Route 2 in Pawcatuck Saturday morning.
Police said a car carrying four people turned north onto Route 2 from the Henny Penny convenience store and was struck by a southbound pickup truck about 7:30 a.m.
Police said the people in the car were taken to the hospital after being extricated by Pawcatuck firefighters. The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger in the car refused treatment.
The crash closed the road for a time as Ledyard police accident reconstruction team assisted Stonington police with their investigation.
Police have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash. Capt. Todd Olson said Monday that police are continuing to investigate the crash and charges are expected.
