Capt. Christopher Ferace to be named Norwich deputy police chief

Norwich — Police will name Capt. Christopher Ferace as the next deputy chief of police during a ceremony Thursday.

Ferace, a Norwich resident, has been captain since 2015 and is a 23-year veteran of the Norwich Police Department. He was chosen by a selection process overseen by the Norwich Human Resources department using the town's equal opportunity "Merit System Rules."

The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in Room 335 at City Hall and is open to the public.
