    Waterford man charged with operating a drug factory

    Waterford — Police on Thursday arrested two local men after officers searched their 11 Darling Lane residence and found cocaine, marijuana and two firearms, according to police.

    Christopher O. Dalton, 32, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of LSD, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of criminal possession of a firearm.

    Keith T. Steamer, 28, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of LSD and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Police said they carried out the search-and-seizure warrant for the residence with assistance from the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force. Officers said they also found drug paraphernalia and an unspecified amount of cash in the home.

    Steamer, released on a written promise to appear in New London Superior Court, is scheduled to appear there April 11.

    Dalton was held on a $50,000 bond.
