Waterford police find red pickup truck they said evaded scene of accident

Waterford — Police have located the red pickup truck that they said had evaded the scene of an accident on Route 32 southbound near the New London line Thursday morning.

The pickup truck hit a boat that was being towed by another vehicle, which caused damage to the back end of that vehicle, according to Waterford Police Lt. Dave Burton. Police said they were continuing their investigation into who was driving the truck at the time of the accident. Police said they have numerous leads.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call Waterford police at (860) 442-9451.
