Montville — An investigation led town police on Friday to arrest a 39-year-old convicted felon on numerous gun charges.

Christopher A. Buehler, of 4 Walnut Drive, Apt. C, Uncasville, was charged with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of assault weapons and possession of a high capacity magazine, according to the police report.

Police said they applied for a search warrant of the home after they "developed information about illegal guns in the town of Montville."

Montville police said additional arrests are expected and thanked the public for bringing suspicious activity to the officers' attention.
