Toddler injured at campsite at Rocky Neck State Park

East Lyme — A 17-month-old boy was injured Saturday morning when he fell against a Dutch oven his family was using to cook breakfast at a campsite at Rocky Neck State Park, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's Environmental Conservation police.
The toddler was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of burns that police described as moderate but not life-threatening.
He was transported from the campgrounds by East Lyme Emergency Services about 9:30 a.m.
The child's family is from Middlebury. No further information about the accident was immediately available.
