Two men stabbed in early-morning Bank Street fight
New London — Police are investigating a fight early Sunday morning that sent two men to the hospital with stab wounds.
Witnesses reported that two men had been injured in a fight outside the Y-Knot Café at 12 Bank St. at about 1:50 a.m., police said in a news release.
One man had stab wounds to the torso area and another suffered a “stab/slash wound to the face and mouth area,” police said.
Both men were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and were listed in stable condition Sunday.
Police detectives collected evidence at the scene and are investigating the stabbings. They are asking anyone with information about the fight to call (860) 447-1481 or contact the New London Tips 411 system anonymously by texting the information and the phrase “NLPDTip” to Tip411 (847411).
