Norwich man charged with traveling 111 mph
A 25-year-old Norwich man was arrested in Rhode Island early Friday after state troopers said they spotted a car traveling north on Interstate 95 at a recorded speed of 111 mph.
Sterley Delmas was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, refusal to submit to a chemical test and reckless driving to elude or flee from a police officer. He also was issued several other motor vehicle violations. He was held pending his arraignment in Third Division District Court in Warwick. R.I.
Delmas was arrested after his car exited the highway on Route 2 in Coventry, police said.
